About the Nikon 105mm VR
When it comes to a rental lens, the Nikon 105mm is a dream go to lens. The optics are superb, the ergonomic feel is marvelous, and it’s just a fantastic lens to use. Now before we go any further, we should let you know that this lens isn’t the best macro lens out there because of focus breathing. Basic focus breathing will cause image sizes to change when you focus. That’s pretty much it.
The lens truly is a great lens for general purpose photography. Now we mentioned above that it’s not the best macro out, so what is better? The 200mm F/4 Micro. Needless to say, if you’re on a budget, this is the go to for macro work.
So we don’t want to put too much information out there regarding technical spec, but we will mention that is does fairly well. The optics are wonderful. Plain and simple.
Don’t have any hesitation or reserve on whether or not you should add this to your lens rental package. It’s a great lens, and for the cost it’s a bargain! Go make art.
