About the Canon 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 IS II USM
The Canon 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 is an update to the previous version 1 that was offered back in 1998. Finally we get a refresh to a gem of a lens. Some may say this lens replaces the Canon 70-200mm II F/2.8 however I feel like these are typically used in different situations. The focusing distance of the 100-400mm is a shocking 3.22′ and for this focal length, that’s very impressive.
Everything about the Canon 100-400mm IS II is better than the previous model and that’s to be expected. From the overall build quality to the number of elements and the quality of the optics this lens is extremely impressive with the output.
